We concur that bulldogs have a reputation of being rather lathargic...not our Ripley. His most favorite game is running....all out, looking like a Greyhound on the track... running. We are in Havana on a country road with our front fenceline about a hundred yards long. Ripley will run the fence line while we drive back and forth on the other side of the fence. It's really quite amazing...a Bulldog running in the first place is amazing, but he revels in it....total happy face, long gazelle-like strides...for a minimum of 5 back and forths...though he'd probably keep going if we let him. Equally amazing is how quickly he cools down once he gets back in the AC after his run. You will see from his photos that his other favorite thing is trips to the beach...St George his fav of course. He loves to go anywhere that he can be adored by the masses. Ripley is bar none the sweetest Bully in the world. He loves to kiss, and is a major snuggle-bunny at night (yes, he sleeps in bed with us).
