Oscar is approximately 19 years old. He has quite a personality. He know how to tell time. At 9:20 every night he starts whining for me to take him to his cage (he is out all the time). He steps up on the remote and I walk him over, cover him up. If I don't turn off the lights and the TV he will ring his bell that it's time for me to go to bed also. In the mornings when I uncover his cage he steps out on my finger, I tell good morning and kiss his beak then up on my shoulder. Then he says "Oscar will a good bird okay?" Like don't put me back in the cage. He keeps active by walking from the living room to the kitchen, back to my office and my bedroom when I'm not in sight. He thinks the recliner and the remote belongs to him. Loves to have his head scratched in the morning, takes sips of coffee and he starts his day. Quite a companion, I've lived with him for about 7 years now. Great roommate!. |
