Details:	The First Annual SPCA Florida Family Day and Open House will celebrate the opening of the recently expanded and renovated McClurg Animal Medical Center. The dog-friendly event is free to the community and will feature tours of the Medical Center, a live surgery broadcast and state-of-the-art veterinary equipment demonstrations. Demonstrations will include a brand new hyperbaric unit, a revolutionary piece of medical equipment that safely and painlessly delivers healing oxygen to stimulate stem cells and help repair organs. One of the few units in the state of Florida, the hyperbaric unit expedites treatment in spinal cord and brain injuries as well as slow-healing wounds and feline diabetes. There will also be fun family activities including a bounce house and face painting, doggie games and contests, food vendors and more. Kids are encouraged to bring their stuffed animals that need repair and the veterinarians will perform teddy bear surgery. There will be door prizes including a BBQ grill, and 97 Country radio will broadcast live from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
